The Storm Cellar 2019 Estate Rosé of Pinot Gris is made from grapes sourced from a two-acre planting of Pinot Gris at the east end of our vineyard. Elegant, sophisticated, and refined, this rosé is rich with aromas of white peach, alpine strawberry, and citrus flowers.
Similar to the 2018 vintage, this was these were the very first grapes that we harvested in the 2019 vintage. Again, we wanted to show off the dramatic fruit that our Pinot Gris vines produce, and a rosé seemed like just the way to do it. The 24-hour cold soak, prior to whole-cluster pressing, extracted a beautiful color and complex aromas. This wine has a rich, balanced texture and a long finish, reminiscent of wet stone and spices.
Our 2019 Rosé of Pinot Gris is a perfect wine to start a dinner, pairing perfectly with vegetables, cheese, charcuterie, and seasonal salads.
